CAMP OLIVAS, City of San Fernando, Pampanga – The Police Regional Office 3 (PRO3) has launched a program, empowering security guards as force multipliers to boost community safety.
The move was in line with the “7 Focus Agenda” of acting PNP chief Lt. Gen. Jose Melencio C. Nartatez Jr., particularly on employing enhanced managing police operations.
The event dubbed “Strengthening Security Guards Force Multipliers: A PRO3 Collaborative Action to PNP’s Quick Response Strategies” was held at the Benigno Hall, Capitol Compound, City of San Fernando, Pampanga.
The activity, spearheaded by Regional Community Affairs and Development Division (RCADD) chief Col. Ferdinand Germino under the leadership of PRO3 director Brig. Gen. Ponce Rogelio Peñones Jr., together with Pampanga police director Col. Eugene Marcelo, gathered 154 participants from 65 security agencies across Pampanga, underscoring the broad collaboration between law enforcement and the private security sector.
The initiative seeks to improve coordination between the PNP and security guards as force multipliers in ensuring community safety, enhancing quick response strategies, and reinforcing the shared responsibility of maintaining peace and order.
Peñones, in his message, highlighted the importance of synergy in policing.
“Our commitment to peace and order requires the active participation of every sector. By empowering our security guards as partners and force multipliers, we enhance our capacity for quick response and strengthen our collective shield against crime,” Peñones said.
“This initiative is a clear manifestation of our alignment with the 7 Focus Agenda of our acting PNP chief Lt. Gen. Nartatez Jr., especially in managing police operations more effectively,” he added.
The program demonstrates PRO3’s proactive approach in integrating private security forces into the broader law enforcement framework, ensuring that both police and civilian security frontliners are better prepared, well-coordinated, and united in protecting the people of Central Luzon.
