CABANATUAN CITY, Nueva Ecija – Operatives of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) on Monday arrested a notorious drug den operator included in the regional-target-list of drug personalities and two others in a buy-bust operation in Bgy Rizdelis, this city.
The sting also resulted in the confiscation of some P102,000 worth of shabu.
PDEA identified the arrested drug den maintainer as alias “Jojo,” 57.
Also arrested were alias “Emil,” 55; and alias “Chari,” 26.
Confiscated by the operating teams were five heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets containing roughly 15 grams of shabu valued at P102,000, assorted drug paraphernalia, a cellular phone, and the buy-bust money.
The arrested suspects were detained at the PDEA-3 jail facility in the City of San Fernando, Pampanga while the confiscated illegal drugs were brought to the PDEA-3 laboratory for forensic examination.
Joint operatives of the PDEA Provincial Offices in Bataan and Nueva Ecija, and the Nueva Ecija Police Provincial Office (NEPPO) – Drug Enforcement Unit conducted the operation.
Alias “Jojo” will face charges under Republic Act 9165, including Section 5 (sale of dangerous drugs), and Section 6 (maintenance of a drug den), a non-bailable offense.
Alias “Emil” and alias “Chari” will be charged with violations of Section 7 (visitors of a drug den), Section 11 (possession of illegal drugs), and Section 12 (possession of drug paraphernalia).
