THE local government unit of Imus City in Cavite has unveiled the first-ever government rental housing in the city.
Imus City Mayor Alex ‘Double A” Advincula led the inauguration of the AAngat Residences located at Green Estate Subdivision in Bgy. Malagasang I-F.
The city government hopes that this rental housing project will provide safe, dignified, and accessible shelter to residents living in danger zones.
According to Advincula, the rental housing project is a testament to the city government’s steadfast commitment to improving the quality of life for Imuseños and fostering a more sustainable community.
The four-storey AAngat Residences is set to house 62 families, with each unit covering 24 square meters (sq m), while the building sits on a 1,998.24-sq-m floor area.
Tenants are allowed to stay in the furnished apartment until they can afford to have their own houses and are expected to pay P2,000 per month without a rent deposit.
Beneficiaries from barangays Poblacion and Anabu formally received their house key.
The AAngat Residences has been the priority of the Advincula administration in pursuit of a livable Imus for every Imuseño.
