SIX people were killed, including a nine-year-old-girl, when a wayward truck rammed seven houses in Bgy. Caglanipao Sur, Tinambacan District in Calbayog City, Samar on Tuesday.
The names of the fatalities were being verified.
Five of the victims died on the spot while the sixth victim succumbed to injuries while being treated at the hospital.
The victims were asleep in their houses when they met their tragic death.
Investigation showed the truck lost its brakes while traveling Maharlika Highway.
Rescuers extracted the victims from under the truck.
Meanwhile, the truck driver and his female passenger also sustained injuries and were brought to the hospital for treatment.
