GOVERNMENT operatives on Tuesday night raided a house in Bi\u00f1an City, Laguna where expired food and personal care products for sale were being repacked.<\/strong><\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n The operation in Bgy. Malaban were conducted by members of the <\/strong>Bi\u00f1an City Police Station, the Business Permit and Licensing Office (BPLO), and the Public Order and Safety Office (POSO) following a confirmed information.<\/strong><\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n The information led to the conduct of surveillance and investigation.<\/strong><\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n After authorities found the tip off accurate, they immediately launched the raid.<\/strong><\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n When the team arrived, the owner and several individuals had already fled, leaving only a few workers behind, some of whom claimed to be unaware of the illegal activities.<\/strong><\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n Seized were expired spaghetti noodles, cup noodles, canton, bihon, powdered and liquid milk for both children and adults, juices, soft drinks, coffee, peanut butter, cheese infested with worms, biscuits and canned goods.<\/strong><\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n Authorities also found expired lotions and soaps.<\/strong><\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n According to Bi\u00f1an City BPLO, the workers were altering expiration dates and repackaging the items to be sold cheaply, often through online platforms.<\/strong><\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n The products were distributed as far as Metro Manila using well-known courier services.<\/strong><\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n An investigation is ongoing.<\/strong><\/p>\n <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" GOVERNMENT operatives on Tuesday night raided a house in Biñan City, Laguna where expired food and personal care products for sale were being repacked.
