FORMER Bases Conversion and Development Authority (BCDA) chief Vivencio “Vince” Dizon was appointed by President Fedinand Marcos Jr. as the next head of the Department of Transportation (DOTr).<\/strong><\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n Malaca\u00f1ang on Thursday announced the lappointment of Dizon, who will replace DOTr Secretary Jaime Bautista starting Feb. 21.<\/strong><\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n Executive Secretary Lucas Bersamin confirmed the appointment of Dizon.<\/strong><\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n Bersamin said Dizon is already authorized by the Office of the President to start the transition at the DOTr in coordination with the team of Secretary Jaime Bautista, who has resigned due to health reasons.<\/strong><\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n As BCDA chief under the Duterte administration, Dizon contributed to the success in the implementation of big-ticket projects under the government\u2019s ambitious \u201cBuild, Build, Build\u201d infrastructure program.<\/strong><\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n Dizon has been in government service for the last 26 years.
