LAGUNA Gov. Ramil Hernandez and his wife, <\/strong>2nd district Rep. Ruth Hernandez, are facing disqualification complaints before the Commission on Elections (Comelec).<\/strong><\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n The disqualification cases were filed on Thursday by private citizen <\/strong>Celito Baron against the Hernandez couple for alleged vote-buying and misuse of government resources.<\/strong><\/strong><\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n Governor Hernandez is running for congressman of Laguna\u2019s second district, while his wife, Rep. Hernandez, is running for governor.<\/strong><\/strong><\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n Baron alleged that the couple, who are switching positions in the upcoming election, engaged in vote-buying by handing out t-shirts with their images, food, bottled water, and envelopes containing P2,000 during a recent poll watchers’ orientation and training session.<\/strong><\/strong><\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n The complainant also accused the couple of using government-issued health cards known as \u201cblue cards,\u201d to secure voter support. <\/strong><\/strong><\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n The Hernandez couple has not yet issued any statement regarding the disqualification petition. <\/strong><\/strong><\/p>\n <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" LAGUNA Gov.
