As part of President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.\u2019s directive to ease the daily travel of commuters\u2014especially students\u2014the Senate DepEd Transit Oriented Development (SEED) Project aims to create an Education City through a transport hub as well as green and education spaces built to encourage the use of public transport, walking and cycling.<\/strong><\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n Transportation Secretary Vince Dizon said the initiative will benefit future projects, which can be patterned after Project SEED.<\/strong><\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n \u201cIt is important for the entire country because this project will pave the way for better projects in the future\u2014not only transportation projects but also education projects,\u201d Dizon said during the Project Signing with Education Secretary Sonny Angara and British Ambassador to the Philippines Laure Beaufils.<\/strong><\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n The transport chief stressed the importance of inter-agency collaboration and partnerships with other nations as \u201cour partners will be critical to the success of very important projects.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n For his part, Secretary Angara said the SEED Project will be a catalyst for progress, especially in the Philippine transport sector.<\/strong><\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n \u201cThis project will have a same catalytic effect not only on Taguig but definitely Philippine transportation.
