Sindol, San Felipe, Zambales.<\/strong><\/strong><\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n The victims were aged 7 and 9, both residents of Sitio Tektek, Purok 6, Bgy. Sindol, said a report to Police Regional Office 3 (PRO3) director Brig. Gen. Ponce Rogelio <\/strong>Pe\u00f1ones <\/strong><\/em>Jr..<\/strong><\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n An investigation showed the two kids asked permission from their grandmother to go swimming in a river near their house.<\/strong><\/strong><\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n However, the duo failed to return home prompting their parents to look for them.<\/strong><\/strong><\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n A neighbor of the victims sought help from Raymond de Jesus, head of the Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (MDRRMO) in San Felipe, and immediately, a search and rescue operation was launched.<\/strong><\/strong><\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n Around 8 p.m. on the same day, the MDRRMO personnel found the victims under the river.<\/strong><\/strong><\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n The two kids were rushed to the San Felipe Health Unit, where they were declared dead upon arrival.<\/strong><\/strong><\/p>\n <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" BY KEVIN GALANG TWO children on Saturday drowned while swimming in a river in Bgy.
