Consuelo, Macabebe, Pampanga<\/strong><\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n A report to Police Regional Office 3 (PRO3) director Brig. Gen. Ponce Rogelio Penones Jr. by the Pampanga police identified the victim as Alexander Salonga, a 52-year-old resident of Dalusong, Bgy. Consuelo, Macabebe town.<\/strong><\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n Salonga suffered severe burnt wounds on his body.<\/strong><\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n Witnesses told police that Salonga was feeding milkfish when a powerful lightning bolt struck the area. <\/strong><\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n Fishpond caretaker Arlyn dela Cruz of Hagonoy, Bulacan said they later found the victim submerged in water where he had been working.<\/strong><\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n Salonga was rushed to the Macabebe District Hospital but was declared dead on arrival.<\/strong><\/p>\n <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" BY KEVIN GALANG A FISHERMAN died after being struck by lightning while tending to his fishpond in Bgy.
