{"id":18702,"date":"2026-02-13T08:23:52","date_gmt":"2026-02-13T00:23:52","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.journaldailynewsonline.com.ph\/?p=18702"},"modified":"2026-02-13T08:23:52","modified_gmt":"2026-02-13T00:23:52","slug":"student-falls-to-death-from-lrt-station","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.journaldailynewsonline.com.ph\/index.php\/2026\/02\/13\/student-falls-to-death-from-lrt-station\/","title":{"rendered":"STUDENT FALLS TO DEATH FROM LRT STATION"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>A\u00a0 23-YEAR-OLD male student on Wednesday died allegedly after falling from the platform of a Light Rail Transit Line 1 (LRT-1) station in Quezon City.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>A report from the Quezon City Police District (QCPD) showed the tragic incident occurred at 10:29 a.m. Wednesday at the \u00a0LRT-1 Fernando Poe Jr. station in Bgy. Ramon Magsaysay in the city.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>A viral video showed the victim falling from the train station and landing on a passing vehicle along EDSA.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Witnesses said the victim was struck and dragged by the car after the fall. The driver reportedly stopped immediately and said he was not involved in the incident.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>The Light Rail Manila Corporation (LRMC), operator of LRT-1, claimed that the victim &#8220;jumped off&#8221; from the station platform to the street level of EDSA.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>It said a security and safety team responded immediately to the scene.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>The victim was already dead when responders arrived.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>&#8220;Local authorities arrived shortly to take over the scene.
