Grant Gollod said a joint team led by the CIDG Tarlac Provincial Field Unit headed by\u00a0 Lt. Col. Arvin Hosmill\u00a0 launched \u201cOplan Roulette\u201d on L. Cortez St., Bgy. Alfonso in Concepcion, Tarlac.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Arrested were four suspects allegedly engaged in illegal gambling activity locally known as \u201cDrop Ball.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Gollod identified the suspects as alias \u201cVin,\u201d tagged as the financier and operator; alias \u201cReyes,\u201d bet collector and facilitator; and bettors alias \u201cPelo,\u201d and \u201cMacay.\u201d\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>The suspects were arrested for violation of\u00a0\u00a0Presidential Decree 1602 as amended by Republic Act\u00a0\u00a09287.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Confiscated during the operation were gambling paraphernalia, including a funnel (embudo), rubber balls, betting boards (tapete), a drop card, betting guides, and cash bets totaling P10,270 in various denominations.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>The raid stemmed from a complaint filed by members of a media group who reported ongoing illegal gambling activities at a peryahan (fun fair) in front of a convenience store in the area.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>The arrested suspects were brought to the CIDG Tarlac Provincial Field Unit for documentation and proper disposition.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>By KEVIN GALANG &nbsp; FOUR persons were arrested by operatives of the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) &nbsp;for illegal gambling in Tarlac.
