STARTING June 22, 2026, beneficiaries of the D<\/strong>epartment of Social Welfare and Development’s (DSWD) Assistance to Individuals in Crisis Situation (AICS) program may \u00a0once again use their guarantee letters (GLs) at 262 participating Mercury Drug branches across the country.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The resumption of the partnership between the DSWD and Mercury Drug aims to expand beneficiaries’ access to medicines and medical assistance.<\/strong><\/p>\n

DSWD spokesperson Assistant Secretary Irene Dumlao said the resumption of\u00a0 GLs in Mercury Drug outlets forms part of the Department\u2019s continuing efforts to strengthen the implementation of AICS and improve the delivery of medical assistance to Filipinos in need.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Simula Hunyo 22, ay muli na pong tatanggap ang 262 na selected branches ng Mercury Drug ng Guarantee Letter mula sa AICS ng DSWD. Kaya mas mapapadali na po ang pagbili ng mga kinakailangang gamot at iba pang medical supplies ng ating mga benepisyaryo,\u201d Dumlao on Sunday said.<\/strong><\/p>\n

She said the DSWD continues to strengthen its partnerships with private institutions to make social protection services more accessible, efficient, and responsive to the needs of vulnerable sectors.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The DSWD spokesperson added that the initiative is in line with the directive of President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. to make government assistance more accessible\u00a0 and responsive\u00a0 to the immediate needs of Filipinos.<\/strong><\/p>\n

For the list of Mercury Drug participating branches, the public may visit https:\/\/shorturl.at\/VdHun.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The department earlier also forged a similar arrangement with Generika Drugstore.<\/strong><\/p>\n

To date, guarantee letters are accepted in 38 Generika Drugstore branches nationwide.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Besides Generika and Mercury Drug, the DSWD is working with other pharmaceutical firms for a similar arrangement.<\/strong><\/p>\n
