CITY OF SAN FERNANDO, Pampanga\u00a0 — A quarrel between a husband and his wife ended in tragedy after the man allegedly shot his wife dead before shooting himself in their house in Guagua, Pampanga.<\/strong><\/p>\n

A report to Police Regional Office 3 (PRO3) director Brig. Gen. Jess Mendez identified the victim as Mary, 39, a housewife and a resident of Purok 3, Bgy. San Miguel Betis, Guagua.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

The suspect was her husband, 45, a construction worker.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

The husband also sustained a gunshot wound and was rushed to a hospital, where he remains under medical treatment while under police custody.<\/strong><\/p>\n

An investigation showed police received a phone call regarding the shooting incident inside the couple\u2019s home.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Lawmen immediately responded and found both the victim and the suspect lying bloodied inside the house.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Neighbors told police that prior to the shooting, they heard the couple engaged in a heated argument.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Witnesses told investigators that they heard three gunshots and rushed to the second floor of the house, where they found the spouses with gunshot wounds.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Personnel from the Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (MDRRMO) who responded to the scene confirmed that the victim had already no signs of life.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

The suspect was brought to a hospital for treatment before being placed under arrest.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Authorities have yet to determine the motive behind the incident, although investigators are looking into the reported domestic dispute that led to the shooting.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Criminal charges are being prepared for filing in court against the husband-suspect.<\/strong><\/p>\n
