CAMP OLIVAS, City of San Fernando, Pampanga \u2013 Police arrested in less than 12 hours a 42-year-old barangay chairman accused of shooting a truck driver following a road altercation in Guagua, Pampanga.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

In a report to Police Regional Office 3 (PRO3) director Brig. Gen. Jess Mendez, the suspect was arrested in Bgy. Sta. Maria, Lubao following an intensive operation, in coordination with the Lubao Municipal Police Station and nearby police units.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The victim, a 28-year-old truck driver, sustained a gunshot wound to his right leg and was rushed to a hospital for medical treatment.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Probers used closed-circuit television footage, vehicle tracing, and intelligence coordination to identify and locate the suspect shortly after the incident.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

Seized from the village chair was a licensed firearm believed to have been used in the shooting.\u00a0<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

Mendez commended the operating personnel for their swift response, saying the immediate arrest underscores the Philippine National Police’s commitment to public safety and effective law enforcement.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

“This prompt arrest demonstrates our firm commitment to the PNP Focused Agenda of our chief PNP, Gen. Jose Melencio C. Nartatez Jr., particularly the protection of our people and the enhancement of police operations,\u201d Mendez said.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n
