{"id":21179,"date":"2026-08-28T01:42:14","date_gmt":"2026-08-27T17:42:14","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.journaldailynewsonline.com.ph\/?p=21179"},"modified":"2026-08-28T01:42:14","modified_gmt":"2026-08-27T17:42:14","slug":"jbm-patrol-system-logs-early-gains-in-first-week-of-implementation-in-central-luzon","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.journaldailynewsonline.com.ph\/index.php\/2026\/08\/28\/jbm-patrol-system-logs-early-gains-in-first-week-of-implementation-in-central-luzon\/","title":{"rendered":"JBM PATROL SYSTEM LOGS EARLY GAINS IN FIRST\u00a0 WEEK\u00a0 OF IMPLEMENTATION IN CENTRAL LUZON"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>BY KEVIN GALANG<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>CAMP CAPTAIN JULIAN OLIVAS, City of San Fernando, Pampanga &#8212; The Joint Police and Barangay Peacekeeping Action Teams Mobilization Toward Crime Prevention and Detection in Central Luzon (JBM Patrol System) has recorded significant accomplishments barely a week after its implementation, strengthening police-community efforts to prevent crime and address public safety threats across the region.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Launched by the Police Regional Office 3 (PRO3) on August 14, the JBM Patrol System seeks to intensify coordination among police personnel, Barangay Peacekeeping Action Teams (BPATs), barangay officials, local government units and other community stakeholders.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>The initiative focuses on increased police visibility, faster information-sharing, early intervention and stronger community participation in crime prevention and detection.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>From August 15 to 22, PRO3 reported 39 arrests in illegal drug operations, resulting in the confiscation of illegal drugs estimated to be worth P890,701.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>The campaign against loose firearms likewise accounted for 75 firearms through confiscation, surrender and safekeeping.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Eight individuals were also arrested in connection with firearms-related violations.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Under the Safer Cities initiative, intensified enforcement of city and municipal ordinances resulted in 85,879 violators being addressed during the period.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Of this number, 12,624 were fined, while 73,255 were warned or released, with total fines reaching more than P5.5 million.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>PRO3 also reported the arrest of 81 wanted persons, including 19 Most Wanted Persons, and 63 Other Wanted Persons.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Meanwhile, operations against illegal gambling led to the arrest of 51 individuals and the confiscation of P22,807 in bet money.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>PRO3 director Brig. Gen. Jess\u00a0 Mendez said the initial accomplishments demonstrate the importance of bringing police operations closer to communities and strengthening the participation of barangay-level peacekeeping groups.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>\u201cThe early gains of the JBM Patrol System show that when the police and the community work as one, we can prevent crime and respond faster to the needs of our people. Our goal is simple: stronger partnerships, safer communities, and police service that is truly felt on the ground,\u201d Mendez said.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>The initiative is also aligned with the Focused Agenda of\u00a0 Philippine National Police chief Gen. Jose Melencio C.
