{"id":21392,"date":"2026-09-18T01:47:13","date_gmt":"2026-09-17T17:47:13","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.journaldailynewsonline.com.ph\/?p=21392"},"modified":"2026-09-18T01:50:30","modified_gmt":"2026-09-17T17:50:30","slug":"575-new-recruits-join-central-luzon-police-force","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.journaldailynewsonline.com.ph\/index.php\/2026\/09\/18\/575-new-recruits-join-central-luzon-police-force\/","title":{"rendered":"575 NEW RECRUITS JOIN CENTRAL LUZON POLICE FORCE"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>BY KEVIN GALANG<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>CAMP OLIVAS, City of San Fernando, Pampanga &#8212; A total of 575 newly-appointed patrolmen and patrolwomen on Wednesday formally joined the Philippine National Police \u00a0(PNP) after taking their oath of office at the PRO3 Parade Ground in this camp.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>The new police recruits were selected from more than 3,000 applicants who underwent a rigorous recruitment and selection process, including screening, medical and psychological examinations, and background validation.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Of the 575 appointees, 422 filled attrition quota slots while 153 were hired under the regular quota, providing additional personnel to the Police Regional Office 3 and strengthening police visibility and operational readiness in Central Luzon.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>PRO3 director Brig. Gen. Jess\u00a0 Mendez administered the oath following the formal presentation of the appointees by Col. Reynaldo S. Ogay Jr., deputy regional director for administration and head of the Regional Screening Committee.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>In his message, Mendez reminded the new recruits that joining the police service carries with it responsibility, accountability and the trust of the public.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>\u201cThe training will build not only your physical strength, but also your discipline, character, and ability to make the right decision under pressure. Soon, you will be given authority, responsibility, and the trust of the people,\u201d Mendez said.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>\u201cHuwag ninyong kalimutan, ang authority na iyan ay hindi pribilehiyo. It is a responsibility entrusted to you &#8212; to protect people, uphold the law, and serve with integrity,\u201d he added.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Mendez also told the recruits that their entry into the police organization supports the PNP Focused Agenda of\u00a0 PNP chief Gen. Jose Melencio C.
