visited the Philippines on November 12\u201314, 2017 to attend the 31st ASEAN Summit Meeting in Manila during his first presidential term.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>President Marcos and the US leader last met face-to-face at the White House in Washington, D.C. on July 22, 2025 to discuss bilateral relations, defense cooperation, and trade.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>The two leaders subsequently held a telephone conversation on July 23, 2026, during which they discussed economic developments and regional security concerns, including the South China
