Gen. Jose Hidalgo Jr. has made significant strides in ensuring public safety during the election period.<\/p>\n<p><!-- \/wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p><!-- wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p>In the PRO3\u2019s effort to uphold the law and maintain a secure electoral environment, at least 400 assorted deadly weapons and explosives have been confiscated during the implementation of the election gun ban.<\/p>\n<p><!-- \/wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p><!-- wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p>Since the start of the election period from August 28 to November 29, the Central Luzon police force managed to seize a total of 372 assorted firearms, deadly weapons, and explosives.<\/p>\n<p><!-- \/wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p><!-- wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p>This also led to the arrest of 309 gun ban violators, with 272 cases already filed in court.<\/p>\n<p><!-- \/wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p><!-- wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p>The community&#8217;s response to the strict implementation of \u201cOplan Katok\u201d has been commendable.<\/p>\n<p><!-- \/wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p><!-- wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p>A total of 147 different calibers of firearms were voluntarily surrendered, reflecting a cooperative effort towards ensuring public safety.<\/p>\n<p><!-- \/wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p><!-- wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p>Some 489 firearms were turned in for safekeeping, highlighting the effectiveness of collaborative initiatives in maintaining peace and order.<\/p>\n<p><!-- \/wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p><!-- wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis accomplishment is a testament to the dedication and unwavering commitment of our personnel in securing our communities and upholding the integrity of the electoral process.
