CAMP OLIVAS, Pampanga — A total of 13,497 police personnel, augmentation forces and force multipliers were deployed across Central Luzon to ensure public safety during the observance of \u2018Undas\u2019 2026.<\/strong><\/p>\n

According to Police Regional Office 3 (PRO3) director Brig. Gen.\u00a0 Jess\u00a0 Mendez, the deployment covers 688 cemeteries, memorial parks and columbaria throughout the region as authorities prepare for the influx of people visiting their departed loved ones.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

He said that ff the total deployment, 7,991 are PRO3 personnel, including 2,802 assigned to interment sites, and 5,189 tasked with other security and public safety duties.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

\u00a0The deployment is augmented by 857 personnel from other agencies and 4,649 members of advocacy groups and force multipliers.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

\u00a0PRO3 has also established 614 Police Assistance Desks (PADs) in strategic locations to provide immediate assistance and respond to emergencies.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

Additional police visibility and assistance measures have been implemented along major highways and expressways, including the North Luzon Expressway, Subic-Clark-Tarlac Expressway\u00a0 and Tarlac-Pangasinan-La Union Expressway, amid expectations of increased traffic during the Undas break.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

The official said that police personnel would be deployed not only in cemeteries and memorial parks but also along major roads, transportation terminals and other areas where large crowds are expected to converge.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

\u00a0\u201cOur personnel will be visible where the public needs them most. Our priority is to keep people safe and make police assistance readily available throughout the observance of Undas,\u201d Mendez said.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

He urged the public to take precautions before traveling, including securing their homes, planning trips ahead of time, and following traffic regulations and cemetery rules.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

He also reminded visitors to keep children and personal belongings under close watch and avoid unnecessary risks while traveling.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

\u201cPublic safety is a shared responsibility. We ask everyone to remain alert, cooperate with authorities, and immediately report suspicious activities, emergencies, or any situation requiring police assistance. Our personnel and Police Assistance Desks are ready to help,\u201d Mendez said.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

He added that the security preparations are part of the Philippine National Police’s Focused Agenda, which emphasizes proactive policing, increased police visibility, public safety and rapid response during major public activities.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Mendez said the PRO3 would continue monitoring cemeteries, memorial parks, transportation hubs, highways, expressways and other convergence areas throughout the \u2018Undas\u2019 period.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n
