OPERATIVES of the Police Regional Office 7 on Monday arrested a top drug suspect in Central Visayas and seized some 10 kilos of shabu worth P68-million in a buy-bust operation in Cebu City.<\/p>\n

Nabbed was Harvey Torres, a native of San Pablo City, Laguna and a resident of Grand Residence Condominium in Bgy. Kasambagan, Cebu City.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n

Undercover officers from the PRO7 Regional Drug Enforcement Unit placed the suspect under arrest shortly after he sold drugs to a poseur on President Roxas Street in Bgy. Kasambagan around 9 p.m. Monday.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n
The 30-year-old jobless man-turned \u201chigh-value target\u201d in Central Visayas yielded 10 heat-sealed plastic packets, each containing a kilo of the \u201cpoor man\u2019s cocaine,\u201d and the buy-bust money topped by two marked P500 bills during the sting.<\/p>\n

According to Torres, he is a trustee and \u201cbodegero\u201d of illegal drugs and is said to be able to dispose of one to three kilos of shabu per week.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
He said he was paid by his boss P50,000 to transport the illegal drugs to Cebu.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Charges for sale and possession of prohibited drugs under Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 were filed against the arrested suspect.<\/p>\n
