QUEZON businessman and philanthropist Leodegario Boongaling (center) receives a plaque of recognition from the Sangguniang Panlalawigan of Quezon led by its presiding officer, Vice \u00a0Governor Anacleto Alcala III (5th from left),\u00a0 during last Monday’s regular session. Alcala branded Boongaling as “Icon of Philanthropy in Quezon.” Boongaling, widely known as \u201cKa Luding or \u2018Tatay Luding,\u201d is a 71-year-old self-made businessman from Bgy. Pahinga Sur, Candelaria who made \u00a0various investments in the province, including the Aquawood Resort and Hotel, the Biyayang Bukid Ricemill, and LDB Storehouse. He is also franchise operator of Small Town Lottery in several provinces of the country.
