A STATE-OF-THE ART tertiary laboratory on Friday was inaugurated inside the Ospital ng Imus (ONI) Compound in Pedro Reyes St., Bgy. Malagasang I-G, Imus City, Cavite..<\/strong><\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n Imus City Mayor Alex \u201cAA\u201d Advincula led the blessing and ribbon-cutting of the City of Imus Diagnostic Laboratory (CIDL).<\/strong><\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n The CIDL is the first-ever free-standing government-owned tertiary laboratory in Calabarzon, which features a Microbiology Section.<\/strong><\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n Advincula proudly announced that the main goal of the city government of Imus is to provide excellent medical services to the people of the city with a state-of-the-art diagnostic facility that offers affordable laboratory tests.<\/strong><\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n This comprehensive diagnostic facility now offers hematology, clinical chemistry, clinical microscopy, immunology and serology, molecular pathology, and drug screening services.<\/strong><\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n Along with the inauguration of the CIDL, five motorcycle vehicles were blessed for easy transport of specimen samples for laboratory testing from different city health centers. <\/strong><\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n According to City Health Office head Dr. Ferdie Mina, those who wish to avail of the comprehensive medical services are advised to register for the PhilHealth Konsulta Package. <\/strong><\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n Meanwhile, active PhilHealth members may go to the nearest PhilHealth-accredited City Health Offices (CHO): CHO-I (Velarde), CHO-II ( Plaridel), CHO-III (Greengate), and CHO-IV (Maharlika). <\/strong><\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n “To avail of the Konsulta Package laboratory tests after consultation, the following documents should be presented: A valid government ID, PhilHealth ID, Laboratory Request Form from the Konsulta provider, and Electronic Konsulta Availment Slip (eKAS),\u201d Dr. Mina said.<\/strong><\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n \u201cThe Konsulta Package medical services are free of charge,” he added.<\/strong><\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n The assigned medical technician will verify the submitted forms before the procedure. The results of the laboratory tests are then forwarded to the health center where the patient had a prior consultation to be presented to the doctor during a follow-up checkup.<\/strong><\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n The CIDL, the former Imus Molecular Laboratory, was established during the COVID-19 pandemic for the diagnosis of suspected COVID-19 patients.<\/strong><\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n The diagnostic laboratory is open Mondays through Fridays from 7 a.m. until 5 p.m..
