the students of Longos Elementary School, as a step in strengthening the health of children in Bacoor,’ Dr. Yrastorza said.<\/strong><\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n Vaccination of students also started in Dasmarinas City, Cavite City, and General Trias City.<\/strong><\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n Thousands of children in public schools are expected to be protected from vaccine-preventable diseases (VPDs) as the Department of Health (DOH) and the DepEd formally launched their joint school-based immunization drive recently.<\/strong><\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n The DOH aims to vaccinate at least five million children in public schools through the two-month \u201cBakuna Eskwela\u201d campaign.<\/strong><\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n \u201cBakuna Eskwela\u201d is a vaccination drive designed to protect school-aged children against measles, rubella, tetanus, diphtheria (MR, Td), and human papillomavirus (HPV).<\/strong><\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n The school-based immunization emphasizes the importance of vaccinating children.<\/strong><\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n \u201cBakuna Eskwela\u201d focuses on immunizing public school students in Grades 1 to with MR and Td vaccines, while female Grade
