MANILA Mayor Honey Lacuna on Thursday announced that the monthly allowance of senior citizens in the city will be doubled from P500 to P1,000 starting January 2025.<\/strong><\/strong><\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n Lacuna said the move aims to further support the elders of Manila.<\/strong><\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n Over 200,000 seniors in the city are set to receive a total of P3,000 each during the quarterly payout in March 2025.<\/strong><\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n The Manila mayor made the announcement after the fellowship night attended by 896 Manila barangay senior presidents in celebration of the international elderly week.<\/strong><\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n \u201cGinawa rin po nating sistematiko at mas maayos ang proseso sa distribution ng senior\u2019s allowance.
