THE N<\/strong>ational Housing Authority (NHA) has ordered a one-month moratorium on housing amortization for borrowers who were affected by Severe Tropical Storm Kristine.<\/strong><\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n NHA general manager Joeben Tai said the moratorium will be implemented from November 1 to 30.<\/strong><\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n He said amortization and lease payments will start on December 1.<\/strong><\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n Tai also said that no deliquency or additional interest will be charged during the moratorium period until Nov. 30, 2024<\/strong><\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n According to Tai, members need not apply for the moratorium and lease payments as they reflect automatically in NHA’s system.<\/strong><\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n Meanwhile, the NHA has over 80,000 housing units in its 85 pipeline projects to date<\/strong>..<\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n Tai said more than 3,500 families are set to benefit from the first batch of housing projects in the provinces of Laguna and Quezon, which will continue in the Bicol Region and Sorsogon province.<\/strong><\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n He added that the NHA is also set to build 1,500 housing units for families displaced by the Taal Volcano eruption in 2020 and 2023.<\/strong><\/p>\n <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" THE National Housing Authority (NHA) has ordered a one-month moratorium on housing amortization for borrowers who were affected by Severe Tropical Storm Kristine.
