POLICE on Monday arrested a 26-year-old man accused of raping and stabbing an 84-year-old bedridden woman to death in Floridablanca, Pampanga.
In a report to Police Regional Office 3 director Brig. Gen. Redrico Maranan, Pampanga police director Col. Jay Dimaandal identified the suspect as alias “Alex” of Floridablanca.
Investigation showed the suspect entered the victim’s house in Bgy. San Nicolas and stole two cellphones and a wallet.
Alias “Alex” saw the bedridden elderly woman and molested her.
The old woman struggled with the suspect, who stabbed her to death.
The victim’s family immediately informed the gruesome incident to the barangay officials, who called the police.
Lawmen launched an operation, which resulted in the arrest of the suspect.
Seized from the suspect were the cellphone and wallet he stole from the victim.
Robbery and rape with homicide charges are being readied for filing in court against the suspect.
