MEMBERS of the Bantay Bayan on Thursday arrested a motorcycle thief and recovered a stolen motorbike in Bgy. San Nicolas, City of San Fernando, Pampanga.
In a report to Police Regional Office 3 Brig. Gen. Jean Fajardo, Pampanga police director Col. Jay Dimaandal identified the complainant as Benedicto Sol, 52, of Sto.Tomas, Pampanga.
The victim told police that he parked a Rusi motorcycle with plate number 409-RRG near the Parisan Canteen.
When Sol returned, the motorcycle is already missing, prompting him to seek help from duty officers of the Bantay Bayan in Bgy. San Nicolas.
With the help of barangay officials, they were able to locate the missing motorcycle.
Suspect, alias “Oscar,” 52, also of Sto. Tomas town was caught in the act of dismantling the stolen motorcycle.
The suspect was later turned over to the San Fernando City police for filing of appropriate charges.
