A SUPPOSED fun-filled adventure turned tragic when a man drowned after the banana boat he was riding flipped over at a beach resort in Dingalan Bay, Aurora.
In a report to Police Regional Office 3 director Brig. Gen. Jean Fajardo, the Aurora police identified the victim as Avel, 30, of Bgy. Licong, Science City of Muñoz, Nueva Ecija.
The caretaker of the Trinity beach resort located at Dingalan Bay in Bgy. Butas na Bato, Dingalan told police that the victim, together with friends, were on a banana boat when they met a huge wave.
The banana boat turned turtle and the victim and his friends fell into the water.
Avel’s friends saw him floating unconscious. They immediately pulled him out of the water.
The victim was given first aid but he remained unresponsive.
He was rushed to the Dingalan Community Hospital, where he was declared dead on arrival.
The Dingalan police are investigating the incident.
