ECIJA POLICE OPERATIONS NET 3 SUSPECTS; STOLEN PROPERTY RECOVERED, GUN CONFISCATED

NUEVA ECIJA — Three suspects were arrested, stolen property worth an estimated P200,000 was recovered, and a handgun was voluntarily surrendered during a series of police operations conducted across Nueva Ecija Monday morning.

The operations were led by the Nueva Ecija Police Provincial Office (NEPPO) under provincial director Col. Ritchie R. Claravall, in coordination with the Police Regional Office 3 (PRO3) and its JBM Patrol System.

Alias “Cruz,” 40, who is wanted for libel, was arrested in Bgy. San Roque, Jaen by personnel of the Jaen Municipal Police Station, San Isidro police and the 1st Provincial Mobile Force Company.

In Peñaranda, police tracker team members led by OIC Capt. Silvestre C. Colanza, served an electronic warrant in Bgy. Sinasajan resulting in the arrest of alias “Essie,” 55, also wanted for libel.

A separate police response in Bgy. Sta. Rita, Jaen led to the arrest of alias “Sudla,” 39, in connection with a frustrated homicide incident.

According to police, Sudla, a duck shepherd, allegedly hacked a man with a bolo. The weapon was recovered by responding officers.

Meanwhile, the Sta. Rosa MPS solved a theft case reported at Hotel Consuelo in Bgy. San Mariano.

Police arrested alias “Omel,” 19, and recovered stolen air-conditioning unit parts reportedly valued at P200,000. 

A black Rusi tricycle was also seized. 

In San Jose City, police also received a .9mm pistol voluntarily deposited for safekeeping by a retired government employee.

The San Jose City Police Station headed by Lt. Col. Gerald G. Fernandez accepted the firearm.

Separately, the Nampicuan MPS under Maj. Lawrence M. Danao participated in the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency’s virtual Barangay Drug Clearing Program validation conference.

CHECKPOINTS, SCHOOL PATROLS

While the arrests and crime responses were carried out, NEPPO units also maintained security operations throughout the province.

Mobile platoons of the 1st PMFC and 2nd PMFC manned border-control checkpoints and conducted security sweeps in Cabiao, Zaragoza and Gapan City.

The 1st PMFC’s 4th Maneuver Platoon led by Cpt. Jason P. Cabangbang also provided security during the flag-raising ceremony at Gapan City Hall attended by acting Mayor Maximus Rodrigo Pascual.

Meanwhile, DPDO Lt. Col. Jonathan Meru conducted a Red Team inspection at the Gapan border.

Police stations in Gapan, Talavera, San Isidro, Palayan City, Science City of Muñoz, Gabaldon, Llanera, Peñaranda, Jaen, Nampicuan, Aliaga, Licab, Cabanatuan City, Guimba, Sto. Domingo, Pantabangan and Sta. Rosa deployed mobile, motorcycle and foot patrols.

The patrols covered financial institutions, commercial establishments, convenience stores and other public areas.

Police also conducted “Oplan Sita” inspections in San Isidro and Gapan City, Oplan Bandillo security advisories in Pantabangan, and Ligtas Eskwela patrols around schools.

Other activities included security coverage for the Civil Service Anniversary at the Pag-Asa Gym in Llanera, JBM CARES community outreach in Pantabangan and community dialogues in Llanera, Zaragoza, Guimba, Pantabangan and San Isidro.

NEPPO said the coordinated operations concluded with no other untoward incidents reported during the period.
