President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. and Quezon Gov. Angelina Tan lead the unveiling of the Filipino Food Month (FFM) logo during the president’s visit in Lucena City, Quezon, where the national kick off celebration of the activity was held. The president, accompanied by Agriculture Sec. Francisco Tiu Laurel Jr., was warmly welcomed by the governor and other Quezon officials, including Vice Gov. Anacleto Alcala, 3rd district Rep. Reynan Arrogancia, 4th district Rep. Mike Tan and members of the Provincial Legislative Board. Marcos told the thousands of participants of government and non-government officials and representatives for the agriculture and tourism sectors and various stakeholders of the food industries that in celebrating the Filipino Food Month, we look back on our kitchen as sanctuary of our history, culture and character as Filipinos. Tan cited the historical and unprecedented hosting by the province of the Filipino Food Month celebration and Marcos’ support of the country’s agriculture sector and food security as she expressed pride of Quezon’s locally produced foods and delicacies, which mirror the distinct stories, culture and history of the province.
