A FARMER on Friday was shot dead during an argument over a stone throwing in Nueva Ecija.
In a report to Police Regional Office 3 director Brig. Gen. Jean Fajardo, the Nueva Ecija police identified the victim as Joselito, 46, of Hacienda St., Bgy. San Francisco, San Antonio, Nueva Ecija.
The suspect was alias “Bobot,” a native of Capas, Tarlac.
Initial investigation showed that prior to the kllling, the suspect had an argument with the family of the victim about the stone throwing on the house of Joselito.
At the height of the fight, the suspect suddenly pulled out a gun and shot the victim three times.
Witnesses said the suspect also tried to shoot the victim’s brother but the gun misfired, prompting him to escape instead on a blue trike towards Bgy. Lambakin, Jaen, Nueva Ecija.
The victim was rushed to the SADH, where he was pronounced dead on arrival.
Authorities immediately launched “Oplan Bakod” for possible arrest of the gunman.
