AN argument over stone throwing on Saturday resulted in the death of a truck driver in Norzagaray Bulacan.
In a report to Police Regional Office 3 (PRO3) director Brig. Gen. Ponce Rogelio Peñones Jr., the Bulacan police identified the victim as Jeffrey Cruz, 37, of Sitio Calamansian, Bgy. Matictic, Norzagaray town.
The suspect was alias “Ipong,” of Bgy. San Lorenzo in the same town.
An investigation showed the suspect was having drinks in the house of Cruz’s neighbor when for unknown reason, he threw stones at the victim’s house.
The incident prompted the victim and his wife to come out of the house and confronted the suspect.
An argument ensued until the suspect suddenly pulled out a gun and shot Cruz thrice before fleeing on foot.
The victim was rushed to Norzagaray Hospital but was declared dead on arrival.
The Norzagaray police launched a follow-up operation to arrest the suspect.
