CAMP OLIVAS, City of San Fernando, Pampanga — The Oplan: “Paglalansag Omega” of the Bataan police has led to the arrest of four suspected gunrunners and the seizure of cache of guns and bullets in a buy-bust operation in Hermosa town.
Joint operatives of the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group – Bataan Provincial Field Unit, Hermosa police, Provincial Intelligence Team-Bataan, Regional Intelligence Unit 3, Provincial Investigation and Detective Management Bataan Branch, Regional Investigation Division 3, Internal Oversight Program Bataan and the 1st Provincial Mobile Force Company Bataan conducted the operation on October 18 in Bgy. Almacen, Hermosa municipality.
Led by Bataan PFU chief Maj. Karlo Eden Mahinay, the joint enforcement units seized from the four suspects the buy-bust and boodle money, one 12-gauge shotgun, a 12-gauge shooter shotgun, an improvised .22 rifle, a .22 magnum revolver, a cal. .45 pistol, a magazine assembly for cal. .45 gun, a .9mm pistol, one magazine for .9mm pistol, a cal. .38 revolver, several live bullets and one 100- rounder ammunition box.
Charges for violation of Republic Act 10591 or the Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act in connection with Section 261 of Batas Pambansa 881 or the Omnibus Election Code were filed against the arrested suspects
