A BOX found on a rooftop of a house in General Trias City, Cavite yielded over P5.4 million worth of suspected shabu, police said.
Operatives of the General Trias Component City Police Office responded to a report of a concerned citizen regarding the suspicious box found on the rooftop of her house at Breezewoods GenTri Homes Subdivision, Bgy. Pasong Kawayan 2, General Trias City at 9 a.m. on Tuesday.
The house owner said that on the night prior to the discovery, she heard noises and later saw a young woman hiding outside her master’s bedroom window.
She said the young woman entered their house before fleeing through the front door.
Upon inspection the following morning, the homeowner found a box disguised as a dictionary containing multiple plastic bags of white crystalline substance.
Responding officers checked the box and recovered eight medium plastic bags and two small sachets of suspected shabu weighing 799.93 grams, with an estimated value of ₱5,439,524.
The seized items were properly inventoried and were submitted to the PNP Forensic Laboratory for examination.
