CAMP OLIVAS, City of San Fernando, Pampanga — A “high-profile” murder suspect linked to the killing of Bulacan Association of Barangay Captains (ABC) president Ramil Capistrano and his driver on Tuesday was arrested in a manhunt operation in Tanza, Cavite.
The 46-year-old suspect, a resident of Navotas City, was caught in Bgy. Tres Cruces, Tanza.
Operatives of the Bulacan Provincial Intelligence Unit, with the support of the Bulacan 1st Provincial Mobile Force Company, Malolos City Police, Navotas City Police, CIDG Cavite, Tanza Municipal Police, and the Cavite Provincial Police Office conducted the arrest.
The suspect is among those implicated in the fatal shooting of Capistrano and his driver Shedrick S. Toribio in Bgy. Ligas, Malolos City, Bulacan on October 3, 2024.
The Regional Trial Court Branch 11 in Malolos City issued the warrant of arrest against the suspect for two counts of murder, with no bail recommended.
Recovered from the suspect were a Glock 9mm 43X pistol with optic sight bearing serial number AHGM427 with a chamber load and a magazine containing 15 live rounds of ammunition.
Police Regional Office 3 director Brig. Gen. Ponce Rogelio I. Peñones Jr. commended the operating units for the successful arrest, saying it underscores the police force’s resolve to pursue fugitives, especially those involved in heinous crimes.
