ARMED men on Monday abducted six Chinese nationals and three of their Filipino helpers from their home in Ayala Alabang Village in Muntinlupa.
The helpers, who were later abandoned by the kidnappers in Bgy. Limao, Calauan town, were identified as Henry Catapat, Marian Arambulo and Jhon Ray Catapat.
According to the three, they were kidnapped from the house of their Chinese employer Cheng Chi Liang at 116 Sampaca St., Ayala Alabang Village, Muntinlupa City at 3:45 p.m. on Monday.
The three said the armed men poked guns at them before blindfolding and tying their hands.
They said the armed men then dragged them towards a waiting van.
According to the helpers, after a long ride, they were released by the suspects in Bgy. Limao in Calauan, Laguna and were instructed not to report the abduction to the authorities.
The kidnappers, together with the six Chinese nationals, then fled towards Bay, Laguna.
The helpers sought the help of the village officials who assisted them to the police station.
The Calauan police immediately coordinated with the Muntinlupa City Police Station for the rescue operation.
