CAMP CAPTAIN JULIAN OLIVAS, City of San Fernando, Pampanga – Operatives of the Police Regional Office 3 (PRO3) scored another significant accomplishment in the campaign against illegal drugs following separate buy-bust operations in Bataan and Bulacan that led to the arrest of three drug suspects, including a woman, and the confiscation of over P1.1 million worth of shabu.
In Bataan, joint operatives of the Bataan Provincial Police Drug Enforcement Unit (PPDEU), Mariveles police, Bataan Provincial Intelligence Unit (PIU), 2nd Provincial Mobile Force Company (PMFC), and PDEA Bataan, in coordination with PDEA Regional Office 3, arrested alias “Leon,” 42, a “high-value target,” in a buy-bust operation in Sto. Domingo Village, Bgy. San Isidro, Mariveles, Bataan.
Confiscated from the suspect were 100 grams of shabu worth P680,000, around one kilogram of marijuana valued at P120,000, the buy-bust money, and a cellular phone.
In Bulacan, operatives of the Station Drug Enforcement Unit (SDEU) of the Santa Maria police, together with personnel from Bulacan PIU, Bulacan PIT East, RIU3, and PDEA Bulacan, arrested alias “Payo” and alias “Michelle” during a separate anti-illegal drug operation in Bgy. Camangyanan, Santa Maria, Bulacan.
Seized from the suspects were approximately 55 grams of shabu worth P374,000 and the buy-bust money.
All arrested suspects were charged with violation of Sections 5 and 11, Article II of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 .
PRO3 director Brig. Gen. Jess Mendez commended the operating units and emphasized PRO3’s unwavering commitment to the campaign against illegal drugs.
“Hindi tayo titigil sa pagsasagawa ng intelligence-driven anti-illegal drug operations laban sa mga indibidwal na patuloy na nagpapakalat ng ilegal na droga sa ating mga komunidad,” Mendez said.
“Ang mga matagumpay na operasyong ito ay patunay ng ating mas pinaigting na kampanya laban sa kriminalidad alinsunod sa direktiba ng ating PNP chief Gen. Jose Melencio C. Nartatez Jr. at sa layunin ng PNP Focused Agenda na mapanatili ang ligtas at maayos na pamayanan,” he added.
