CAMP CAPTAIN JULIAN OLIVAS, City of San Fernando, Pampanga — A most wanted person for 80 counts of qualified theft on Wednesday was arrested by members of the Apalit Police Station in Bgy. San Juan, Apalit, Pampanga.
In a report to Police Regional Office 3 (PRO3) director Brig. Gen. Jess Mendez, the suspect was a 39-year-old former recruitment officer of a manpower agency who allegedly became involved in multiple incidents of qualified theft.
The complainant company offered a P150,000 reward for information that would lead to the suspect’s arrest.
The operation was carried out by the Apalit police, in coordination with the Pampanga Police Provincial Office (PPO), following verified intelligence reports and sustained monitoring on the suspect’s movements after he had reportedly been evading arrest.
According to police, a confidential informant provided crucial information regarding the suspect’s location, which was validated through surveillance and intelligence gathering.
This led to a targeted operation that resulted in his apprehension.
The suspect was arrested by virtue of a warrant of arrest covering 80 counts of qualified theft, with recommended bail set at P3.2 million per case.
Mendez commended the operating units for the successful operation, emphasizing the importance of sustained intelligence-driven efforts in apprehending wanted persons.
According to Mendez, the arrest reflects the commitment of PRO3 to ensure accountability among individuals facing criminal charges, adding that continuous intelligence coordination and focused law enforcement operations remain central to their campaign against criminality.
“We will continue to intensify our manhunt operations and intelligence activities to ensure that wanted persons have no place to hide in Central Luzon. Our objective is clear — to maintain safe communities and reinforce public trust through lawful and effective police action,” he added.
