DOT, DMW, INTRAMUROS ADMINISTRATION LAUNCH ‘PASYAL PAMILYA’ PROGRAM FOR OFWs

THE Department of Tourism (DOT), Department of Migrant Workers (DMW), and the Intramuros Administration have launched the government’s “Pasyal Pamilya” program in line with the directive of President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. to deepen Filipinos’ appreciation of Philippine history and culture.

The weeklong heritage program offers overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) and their families free guided tours and access to various activities within Intramuros.

The initiative also aims to give OFWs meaningful time with their loved ones while they are in the Philippines.

According to Tourism Secretary Dita Angara-Mathay, the program forms part of the celebration of National Migrant Workers’ Day which is observed every June 7.

The “Pasyal Pamilya” program will run until May 31 and is open to all OFWs and returning migrant workers.

Eligible participants may bring up to four family members and avail of free admission and guided tours upon presentation of a valid Overseas Employment Certificate or OWWA membership ID.
