SENATOR JV Ejercito announced a P100-million commitment for the establishment of a Laguna Mega Clinic in support of the healthcare initiatives in the province.
Ejercito issued the promise during the celebration of Dr. Jose Rizal’s 165 birth anniversary in Calamba City, Laguna on Friday, June 19, 2026.
The flagship health project aims at expanding access to quality and affordable medical services for residents across the province of Laguna.
Earlier, Laguna Gov. Sol Aragones met with PhilHealth President and Chief Executive Officer Dr. Edwin Mercado to discuss the province’s proposed Mega Clinic project.
The meeting underscored PhilHealth’s support for the provincial government’s plan to establish a Laguna Mega Clinic that will provide faster, more affordable, and quality healthcare services to Lagunenses
The initiative targets to address the growing demand for medical services and help bridge gaps in the province’s healthcare system.
Aragones highlighted the need for additional healthcare facilities despite the province’s existing network of hospitals.
Laguna, with over three million population, has eight district hospitals and one provincial hospital.
The proposed Mega Clinic is envisioned as a healthcare hub that will expand access to consultations, diagnostics, and other essential medical services, bringing healthcare closer to communities across the province of Laguna.
