A TOTAL of 1,000 beneficiaries under President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.’s flagship housing initiative, the Pambansang Pabahay para sa Pilipino Program (4PH), have received their Transfer of Certificate Titles, a development Malacañang said reflects on the continued expansion of the administration’s housing agenda.
Presidential Communications Office Undersecretary and Palace Press Officer Claire Castro announced the development on Monday during a press briefing, highlighting recent distribution activities covering both urban and informal settler communities.
“Informal settlers no more…” Castro said, underscoring the impact of the program on long-time informal settler families.
More than 200 beneficiaries from the San Isidro Labrador Homeowners Association and over 800 beneficiaries from Sitio Santo Niño in Antipolo recently received their Transfer Certificates of Title during an awarding ceremony led by the Social Housing Financing Corporation (SHFC).
“Para sa ibang benepisyaryo, mahigit 25 years ang kanilang hinintay para makamit ang pangarap na titulo ng lupa,” Castro said, emphasizing the long-standing struggle of many recipients before the program’s intervention.
The housing program’s implementation is being carried out through the Department of Human Settlements and Urban Development (DHSUD) with officials noting intensified efforts under Secretary Jose Ramon Aliling to accelerate land tenure and housing delivery.
Castro stressed that the initiative goes beyond land distribution, framing it as part of a broader social protection effort: “Disenteng tahanan at pamumuhay na may dignidad para sa lahat… Ito ang layunin ng programang pabahay ni Pangulong Marcos Jr. para sa mga Pilipinong patuloy na nagsisikap at nangangarap.”
The latest batch of land title distributions underscores the steady rollout of the 4PH program, which remains a centerpiece of President Marcos’ housing and social welfare agenda, aimed at addressing decades-long housing backlogs and securing tenure for low-income families.
