57 OFW APPLICANTS RESCUED IN PARAÑAQUE

THE Department of Migrant Workers – National Capital Region (DMW–NCR), in coordination with the Migrant Workers Protection Bureau (MWPB), the Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA), and the Parañaque City Police District, successfully conducted simultaneous rescue and closure operations on July 25, 2026, against suspected unregistered accommodation facilities in Parañaque City.

The coordinated operations covered five suspected unregistered accommodation facilities in Bgy. San Dionisio, Parañaque City, with the help of the Barangay San Dionisio and the Villanueva Subdivision Security, resulting in the successful rescue of 57overseas Filipino worker (OFW) applicants.

Following the rescue, the OFW applicants underwent initial assessment and documentation by DMW–NCR and were subsequently transferred by OWWA to a temporary accommodation facility, where they will receive the appropriate assistance and support services.

Through sustained enforcement initiatives and close collaboration with partner agencies, DMW–NCR remains committed in protecting aspiring OFWs, ensuring compliance with existing regulations, and promoting safe, orderly, and ethical labor migration.
