A MOTHER and her two young children early Thursday morning were found dead inside a car in Bgy. Talacsan, San Rafael, Bulacan.
In a report to Police Regional Office 3 (PRO3) director Brig. Gen. Jess Mendez, the victims were Margie Rose Macalinao, 31, a resident of Baliwag City, and her 9-year-old son and 4-year-old daughter.
According to the San Rafael Municipal Police Station, the three were found inside a Toyota Avanza with plate no. NKG 3374 around 2 a.m. Thursday.
The victims were reportedly lying beside each other at the backseat of the vehicle.
Initial investigation showed that the victims were last seen alive on August 19, based on the report of Margie Rose’s live-in partner and the children’s father, identified as Francisco.
A flash alarm had earlier been issued for the missing mother and her two children.
Police immediately requested the assistance of the Bulacan Provincial Forensic Unit Scene of the Crime Operations (SOCO) team to process the vehicle and the surrounding crime scene.
Intelligence operatives and police patrol personnel are also conducting a review of available closed-circuit television (CCTV) footage to establish the victims’ movements before they were found and identify possible persons of interest.
Authorities have yet to determine the circumstances and motive behind the victims’ death.
