A BROADCAST journalist on Monday was shot dead at his bakery shop in Daraga, Albay.
Slain was Adrian “Golden Boy” Loterte, an anchor of local online news platform RBN News Television.
Loterte was also a blocktimer on DWIZ FM.
An investigation showed Loterte was shot dead by two unidentified gunmen at around 4:10 p.m. while working at his bakery shop in Purok 4, Bgy. San Roque.
Police Regional Office 5 director Brig. Gen. Randy Glenn G. Silvio immediately ordered the creation of a Special Investigation Task Group (SITG) to spearhead the investigation into the killing of Loterte.
The official assured they will leave no stone unturned in their effort to identify and arrest the suspects in the murder of the radioman.
“The PRO 5 strongly condemns this act of violence and treats the incident with the utmost seriousness and urgency,” Silvio, in a statement, said.
“We recognize the public’s legitimate demand for answers and accountability, and we are committed to addressing these concerns through a diligent investigation, coordinated police operations, and the full application of the law,” he further said.
“We will leave no stone unturned in our pursuit of the truth and will do everything within our lawful authority to ensure that justice is served,” he added.
