OPERATVES arrested in Pampanga a 22-year-old courier driver allegedly involved in the large-scale distribution of shabu in Metro Manila and Central Luzon.
Seized from the suspect were around 500 grams of the illegal drug worth an estimated P3.4 million in a buy-bust operation in Mabalacat City, Pampanga.
According to the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA), the operation was conducted along Dau Access Road in Bgy. Dau.
PDEA identified the suspect only as alias “Haji,” who reportedly works as a courier driver.
Authorities said Haji allegedly used his occupation as a cover for his illegal drug activities.
The suspect is reportedly involved in the distribution of shabu in Metro Manila and Central Luzon.
Operatives recovered approximately 500 grams of suspected shabu packed in five knot-tied transparent plastic bags, along with the marked money used in the drug transaction.
The operation was carried out through a joint effort by the PDEA Region 3 Special Enforcement Team (RSET), PDEA Pampanga Provincial Office and the Mabalacat City Police Station.
Alias “Haji” is temporarily detained at the PDEA Region 3 Jail Facility while charges for violation of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 are being readied for filing in court.
