‘ASWANG’ SHOT DEAD IN BULACAN

NORZAGARAY, Bulacan — A 47-year-old man was shot dead by an unidentified assailant in the early hours of Thursday in this town. 

In a report to Police Regional Office 3 (PRO3) director Brig. Gen. Jess Mendez, police identified the victim as alias “Aswang,” a resident of Bgy. FVR, Norzagaray.

Police said the shooting occurred at around 4:15 a.m. on Jose Pantaleon Street in Sitio Gulod, Bgy. Tigbe. 

The police station received a telephone call from personnel of the Norzagaray Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (MDRRMC) reporting that an unconscious and wounded man had been found lying beside a motorcycle at the scene.

Responding officers proceeded to the area to verify the report.

Upon arrival, they found a gray Honda Click motorcycle bearing plate number 186UXR at the location. 

The victim, however, had already been taken by rescue personnel to the Ospital ng Lungsod ng San Jose del Monte, where he later died. 

Meanwhile, a resident identified  told investigators that he heard a sound resembling a gunshot at around 4:15 a.m. of the same day.

The suspect remains unidentified, and police investigators are working to determine the circumstances and motive behind the killing.
