THIEVES HIT CELLPHONE REPAIR SHOP IN ZAMBALES

IBA, Zambales — Assorted second-hand cellular phones, cash and chargers worth around P102,900 were stolen from a cellphone repair shop in Palauig, Zambales. 

In a report to Police Regional Office 3 (PRO3) director Brig. Gen. Jess Mendez, police said the robbery occurred on Saturday at  Inuyasha Repair Services located in front of the Palauig Public Market in Bgy. Sto. Tomas.

Initial investigation showed that the cellphone repair shop owner was informed by the owner of an adjacent store that the rear door of the repair shop had been opened and a rear window had been detached.

Police said the unidentified suspect or suspects entered the shop after detaching the window grills and jalousie panels.

Stolen were assorted second-hand cellular phones undergoing repair with an estimated value of P100,000, P2,000 in cash, and three cellular phone chargers worth P900.

The laptop used by the cellphone technician was reportedly left untouched.

Personnel of the Palauig Municipal Police Station have launched follow-up operations and begun reviewing and backtracking available CCTV footage in the area in an effort to identify and apprehend those responsible for the burglary.
