MABALACAT MAYOR LEADS ARREST OF 2 DRUG SUSPECTS

MABALACAT CITY, Pampanga —  Mayor Crisostomo Garbo who was visiting bed-ridden constituents in Bgy. Poblacion in this city on Wednesday led the arrest  of two drug suspects in the village.

Mabalacat City police commander  Lt. Col. Alfredo Canlas identified the arrested suspects as Jerson Balajadia and Sarex Serrano.

The Mabalacat mayor  was in Bgy. Poblacion when he observed a group of individuals acting suspiciously.

When the cops tried to approach the group, the men scampered to different directions.

Mayor Garbo, who was quick to respond, managed to capture one of the suspects, with the help of the local police.

It turned out that the suspect was in possession of the illegal drugs.

Another suspect was arrested in a follow-up operation.

Lawmen seized from the duo three plastic sachets containing shabu.

Garbo commended the quick response of  Canlas and his men.

“Our police force has once again demonstrated their commitment to keeping our community safe,” the Mabalacat mayor said. 

“Their swift action following my encounter with the suspects has led to another successful operation against illegal drugs in our city,” he added.

Canlas said: “We will continue to intensify our anti-illegal drug operations and we will not relent in our pursuit to make Mabalacat a drug-free city.”

The arrest of the two suspects sends a clear message that Mabalacat City authorities are vigilant and proactive in their fight against the drug menace.
