FOUR people on Wednesday night were killed while 26 others were injured when a passenger bus plowed several vehicles in Dinalupihan, Bataan.
A report submitted to Police Regional Office 3 Director Brig. Gen. Jose Hidalgo Jr. identified one of the fatalities as Camille Isidro, 25, of Bgy. Naparing, Dinalupihan town.
The accident occurred at 7 p.m. on Wednesday on Olongapo-Gapan Road in Bgy. Bangal in Dinalupihan.
An initial investigation showed the Arayat Express passenger bus driven by Edwin Sandoval, 54, was on its way to Olongapo City from San Fernando, Pampanga when the driver lost control of the vehicle.
The bus hit a motorcycle, two tricycles and an L300 van, before colliding with a passenger jeep on the opposite lane.
The impact caused the jeep to fall to its side while the bus crashed on the side of the road.
All victims were rushed to James Gordon Memorial Hospital, where Isidro and the two other motorbike riders were declared dead on arrival.
The fourth victim died while undergoing treatment.
Responding lawmen arrested the bus driver, who is facing charges for reckless imprudence resulting in multiple homicide, multiple physical injuries, and damage to properties.
